Daniel saw that.

His mother had not just ignored Rachel.

Daniel immediately called Rachel’s doctor.
Within an hour, they were back at the hospital.
The examination confirmed what Rachel feared.
The fall had caused complications that required strict monitoring.
The baby was safe.
But Rachel’s body had been carrying more stress than anyone realized.
The doctor looked directly at Daniel.
“Your wife needed support.”
Daniel lowered his head.
“I know.”
“No,” the doctor said gently.
“You need to understand. Pregnancy is not weakness. Pain is not manipulation. When someone hides injuries, there is usually a reason.”
